Today our communication consists of Facebook posts, Instagram likes, and emoticon texts. We value communication through digital screens more than in person conversations and interactions. I'm using this blog as a space to share concepts, ideas, and paintings about communication and technology, expanding on the idea that although communication is faster and more accessible, it may not be as efficient as we're all taught to believe.
I wonder if you would be interested in doing some readings in Media Studies related to the arts like Marshall McLuhan (for the old school approach) and the book What Do Pictures Want?: The Lives and Loves of Images by W.J.T. Mitchell.
